Candle & The Bell performance screenings featured found footage 16mm and Super 8mm film projections manipulated live along with live film scores and soundscapes generated on site in collaboration with the projected imagery. The work drew upon the idea of détournement as developed by the Situationist art movement. Détournement is defined as the integration of present or past artistic productions into the construction of a new milieu.
