This performance is part of a series of neurodivergent performance art actions rooted in, and emerging from, my lived experience of being a neurodivergent person on the autism spectrum. These performances or actions are derived directly from my own idiosyncratic processing modalities, translating my lived experience into aesthetic conceptual work that is not merely explanatory, but rather, experiential. Given the ongoing prevalence of ableism and bigotry directed at neurodivergent people, this work takes on a potent sense of urgency. We must challenge derision and elevate the cultural discourse around neurodivergence, advocating for complete inclusion, full support, and total equity for everyone across the neurodivergent continuum.
